Dr. Vijay Shrikant Ghatge

Brimming with almost a quarter-century of professional experience, Dr. Vijay S Ghatge plays many roles, that of a Consultant Physician, Nephrologist, Intensivist and a Counsellor for Stress Management. He practises in Nashik city and is presently associated with Suyash Hospital and a private clinic–Satsang Clinic.

In terms of academic qualifications, Dr. Ghatge has completed his MBBS, MD (Medicine)- both achieved from B J Medical College, Pune University. Besides this, he has done his Diploma in Yogashikshak, YCMOU, Nashik and Diploma in Hospital Management, Pune University.

In the past, during the course of his medical career, Dr. Ghatge received the privilege to serve at some of the eminent hospitals, based in Pune and Nashik city. To mention a few, they include institutions like Ruby Hall Clinic Grant Medical Foundation (Pune), Nagjee Memorial Hospital & Medical Research Centre (Nashik), Lifeline Hospital & Medical Research Centre (Nashik), Talegaon Hospital (Pune), Pravara Medical College & Hospital (Loni), Ayurved Medical College (Nashik) and Dental College, (Nashik).

He has been instrumental for setting up Kidney Dialysis Unit & Critical Care Unit and pioneering the concept of Nephrology & Critical Care Medicine and Vascular access in Nashik city. He is the Founder Chairman of Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, Nashik.

Dr. Ghatge is also an esteemed Life Member in many reputed national medical bodies. He also offers his services to many NGO’s like Handicraft Society of India, Blind Welfare Organization, Buddhist Society of India and Rotary Club of Nashik. He is an active participant as a faculty in many CME programs and symposiums covering a wide range of medical topics.

Dr. Ghatge has always been at the helm of many health awareness programmes and medical camps conducted in both urban and rural areas. He has taken part in many Polio awareness campaigns & surgical camps. Through speeches and radio talk shows aired on AIR (All India Radio), he has disseminated valuable information on diseases ranging from Malaria, AIDS to Fever & Tropical disease, Kidney disease etc.

Dr. Ghatge strongly advocates Yoga and other forms of meditation in our fast paced life. He has amalgamated this with his profession and thus has successfully been able to contribute to the patient's comprehensive physical and mental well being.
